Robert Pattinson to star in Good Time

Heaven Knows What premiereThe Hollywood Reporter, along with several other reliable industry news sources is reporting that Robert Pattinson has joined the cast of an exciting new movie Good Time, in the starring role! The movie will be directed by Josh and Benny Safdie. If you’re like me, you’re probably scratching your head and going who? But see, that’s part of the fun of being a Rob fan…He introduces us to people, producers, directors, and actors that some of us may not be familiar with. Or are we going to pretend that we all knew who David Cronenberg (Cosmopolis & Maps to the Stars) and Werner Herzog (Queen of the Desert) were prior to Mr. Pattinson working with them?

I did a little research and found out that that the Sadfie brothers also directed the critically acclaimed film Heaven Knows What. If you recall, Rob attended the New York City premiere of the aforementioned movie in May, and posed for pictures with Josh and Benny Safdie. At the time, most of us assumed that he attended the premiere in support of Iconoclast, which is the production company behind Heaven Knows What and Harmony Kornine’s the Trap; which Rob is rumored to be attached.

Not only is Josh Safdie co-directing this venture, he also co-wrote the script with Ronald Bronstein, which Sebastian Bear-McClared will be producing for Elara Pictures. Robert is going to star as Connie, a desperate bank robber failing in his efforts to avoid detection by the police as they close in on him.  I guess we’ll wait to hear more about the film when the trailer is released. As you can imagine, we’re really looking forward to seeing the finished product, as well as the making of this movie.  Stay tuned folks, we’ll keep you up to date on all of the latest developments.  Ciao!
